If you’ve been thinking about embroidery but are not sure it is something you want to plunge into at this time; if you own an embroidery machine and want to learn about stabilizers, editing designs, and other tips; if you own another brand of embroidery machine and want to learn more about the embroidery process; and if you are considering buying a machine but don’t understand which features are important to you, then this is an exciting embroidery workshop designed to inspire and educate you! This will be a full day, hands-on-embroidery extravaganza designed to provide tips and helpful hints to improve the quality of your embroidery as well as introducing you to exciting embroidery techniques. In conjunction, we will be offering you an attractive embroidery subscription program.. The program is a full day event (box lunch included) broken into four modules. You will share a machine with others and take turns stitching out a project. All students will receive a CD with the designs and instructions for each module lesson as well as an embroidery themed issue of Through the Needle magazine. Come learn to applique or perfect your applique skills with Elly Sienkiewicz, Jane Townswick and Nancy Kerns at our ninth annual Applique by the Bay. Just think, FOUR days of nothing but applique in historic Lewes, DE. We will have a reception with the teachers on Wednesday evening and a dinner on Saturday night. Accommodations are available in the Beacon Motel, which is part of the complex where our store is located. The motel is closed for regular business at that time. The only guests will be other appliquers. You'll meet appliquers of all skill levels and maybe make a new friend or two. A continental breakfast will be served each morning as well as lunch on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (included in fee). Apply by printed brochure available in the store or on-line.

We will take phone reservations by credit card only. Class fee is payable in FULL when you register. Class fee is not refundable unless you cancel one (1) week in advance or class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. Be sure to register early to ensure that sufficient enrollment is met. If you are one of the first to sign up for a class, do not purchase supplies until we are sure there will be sufficient enrollment. We plan our classes based on supplies that we carry.
